Potomac Companies provides customized flexible benefit administration with impeccable attention to detail. We offer such services as online account access for participants, direct deposit of reimbursements, ACH debit of funds for employers, and customized employee communication materials and education – all designed to minimize the time our clients spend on such matters.

Potomac can implement and/or administer all types of tax-advantaged flexible benefit plans, from basic Premium-Only Plans (POPs) to healthcare FSAs, dependent care FSAs, Transportation Spending Accounts (TSAs), Healthcare Reimbursement Accounts (HRAs), and Healthcare Savings Accounts (HSAs).

COBRA Administration
COBRA administration is a complex process governed by constantly changing rules and regulations. Virtually every aspect of COBRA is extremely time-sensitive, so prompt and appropriate actions are critical. Potomac can take the worry out of COBRA administration by providing comprehensive, efficient, and compliant administration.

Potomac will:
• Assume liability for client COBRA administration procedures
• Send COBRA notification packets to "qualified beneficiaries"
• Communicate with employer and "qualified beneficiaries"
• Send election notices
• Provide premium payment coupons
• Send insurance payments and reports to employers
• Send late payment notices
• Manage grace periods for timely notifications
• Handle dependent communications
• Provide telephone support for COBRA participants and clients
• Determine if there's been a "Qualifying Event"
• Send expiration of coverage notices
