Account Manager

 

Location: Rockville, MD

  • 5+ years of experience in employee benefits and/or life and health insurance

Duties:

  • Account Management for employee benefits book of business
  • Plan review, plan design, placement, and enrollments
  • Products: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, and Ancillary
  • Experience with carriers: CareFirst BCBS, Aetna, Anthem, Kaiser, UnitedHealthCare
  • Certified in DC Health Link and Federal Exchange
  • Optimize service delivery for clients
  • Maintain appropriate and current product/service knowledge
  • Collect and analyze client interaction data for reporting and tracking

Expectations include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain the levels of service in each client size tier
  • Maintain Potomac’s customer-centric approach, using technology to be:
  • Proactive
  • Responsive
  • Accurate
  • Timely

Currently used technology:

  • CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics, AgencyBloc)
  • Microsoft Office products
  • Dynamis Plan Designer

Director of Account Management

 

Location: Rockville, MD

  • 8+ years of experience in employee benefits and/or life and health insurance

Duties:

  • Director of Account Management for employee benefits book of business
  • Plan review, plan design, placement, and enrollments
  • Products: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, and Ancillary
  • Experience with carriers: CareFirst BCBS, Aetna, Anthem, Kaiser, UnitedHealthCare
  • Certified in DC Health Link and Federal Exchange
  • Refine account management processes
  • Track account management team’s performance according to business standards
  • Optimize service delivery for clients
  • Develop, implement, and manage effective business processes for account management team
  • Establish and evolve tools providing ‘early warning’ on at-risk accounts
  • Maintain and elevate effective team members, including mentorship
  • Enforce appropriate and current product/service knowledge across account management team via training, documentation, and certification
  • Collect and analyze client interaction data for reporting and tracking

Expectations include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee, assess and improve the Account Management of all aspects of the business: SBU (Small Business Unit: 1-49), LBU (Large Business Unit: 50-1,000+)
  • Establish, monitor, and report on levels of service provided for each tier
  • Establish acceptable income ranges for each tier, as well as expenditures
  • Manage account cycles and protocols for each tier, utilizing in-place systems
  • Utilize Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2015/AgencyBloc to manage own activities and those of account management team
  • Effectuate best practices in all aspects of the client life-cycle
  • Maintain Potomac’s client-centric approach, using technology to be:
  • Proactive
  • Responsive
  • Accurate
  • Timely
