Employee Benefits Account Manager

Location: Rockville, MD

 

Position requirements include:

  1. College degree
  2. Minimum of two (2) years non-sales account management experience in the employee benefits insurance industry
  3. Licensed Life and Health Agent required
  4. Advanced proficiency / technology skills in MS Office Suite
  5. Excellent oral and written communication skills
  6. Strong interpersonal skills
  7. Self-starter
  8. Able to work independently as well as in a team environment
  9. Exceptional organizational skills, with attention to detail
  10. Must strive to exceed expectations
  11. Knowledge of MS Dynamics CRM, a plus

 

Major responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Execution of the client renewal and market shop process, including renewal notifications, preparation of RFPs, communication between the client and insurance carriers, and preparation of benefit analysis and reports
  2. Prepare RFPs, market analyses, and shop carriers for prospective clients; prepare reports to include in prospect proposals
  3. Function as the point of contact for new clients assigned; responsible for providing enrollment/installation materials, and processing enrollment paperwork, handling billing issues, questions regarding client group insurance plans, eligibility issues / questions, etc.
  4. Perform special projects as requested by senior management

Employee Benefits Account Coordinator (Recent College Graduate)

Potomac Companies is looking for a recent college grad (2017 - 2018) to join our Employee Benefits Account Management team.  You know how to work hard and smart, and you're hungry to learn.  If you can be taught something once, grasp it, and own it, then we will teach you.

  9. Knowledge of MS Dynamics CRM a plus

 

Duties:

  • Products: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, and Ancillary insurance
  • Report to Director of Account Management to assist with servicing and retention of employee benefits clients
  • Participate in plan review, plan design, placement, and enrollments
  • Follow account management processes
  • Log your activities in MS Dynamics CRM
