On August 29th, Potomac Companies is gathering with the Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless (MCCH) to work towards a common goal: to eradicate homelessness in the Montgomery County area. Rockville-based MCCH provides shelter, housing, and advocacy services in order to both better the lives of Montgomery County’s homeless population, with the end result of “mak[ing] homelessness a rare, brief, and nonrecurring experience."

While it may seem impossible to eradicate homelessness, MCCH is making that a reality. In Maryland’s 2017 Homelessness Study, the total count of homeless individuals during FY15 in Montgomery County was 3,189In 2018, there are approximately 894 individuals experiencing homelessness each day in Montgomery County.

We challenge our surrounding community to volunteer with organizations which improve the quality of life and collective well-being of our area. Together, we may defeat homelessness.
